K2 Airways, the first private airliner to introduce Embraer E-Jets in the country’s commercial aviation, is in the final stages of launching its operations, according to an official statement issued by the new airline company.
According to the announcement, the airline is supported by “successful Pakistani businesspeople and professionals with an astounding passion for aviation” based in the United Arab Emirates. The airline plans to use two Embraer E-190 aircraft this year to fly passengers to specified domestic destinations. The aircraft will connect Pakistan’s “smaller” and “under-utilized airports” with Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore to make travel easier for domestic passengers.
